I really enjoy reading about the Warhammer 40k universe back when the Emperor was still totally alive and in the glory days of the Imperium. I would highly recommend grabbing the Gaunts Ghosts series, they are mostly all in omnibus form these days, they are a good primer into the universe and Abnett is definitely one of the better 40k writers, and a personal favorite. Seconded, the Horus Heresy novels are quite good from what Ive read (16 of them).

If you are looking for a long series with great characters and good writing the Gaunts Ghosts series by Dan Abnett is a fantastic place to start with the Imperial Guard.
As for Tau, Firewarrior is one of the few I can think of off hand dealing with them and is one that is probably pretty hard, or at least expensive, to find. Storm of Iron is another good Chaos novel as well as Lord of the Night. If you are looking for something dealing with Chaos, Dark Apostle is a good place to start there are two other books in that series Dark Creed and Dark Disciple. The Grey Knights are not a bad place to start. avg rating 4.20 19,869 ratings published 2006. I'm looking for the 40k universe specifically, as I'm not really in the mood for the Warhammer fantasy variant right now, but if I get hooked I may read them down the line. So what are some other novels in the Warhammer 40k Universe you guys would recommend? I would love to read something focusing on Chaos, Necrons or even the Tau, but from what I saw it looks to pretty much be Space Marines and the occasional Imperial Guard novel and not much else.

I decided to use this as my excuse to jump in and I picked up the " The Grey Knights Omnibus" since it was only $12 and that was exactly how much I needed to add to my cart for free shipping. I'm still working my way through the first 4 novels in the "Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy" semi-omnibus I picked up a few months back, but as soon as I'm done the part I'm on I think I will jump into this book and give it a whirl. and get started with Warhammer 40k Harlequins 1500 prize bond list 2022 faisalabad Necron List 2022 Codex Chaos Knights 9th Edition Book Warhammer 40K. Well, the other day my headset broke, so while on amazon.ca hunting for a new one I needed to find $12 worth of something to qualify for free shipping. According to tracking it should be here tomorrow! I got into the Warhammer 40k universe from playing the original " Dawn of War" games, and have always wanted to learn more about the lore but always put off getting into it as I had no clue where to start.
